2019-02-07 Counting Up and Counting Down

I’ve been busy this week counting up my work hours and trying to bank as much as I can in order to roll into the weekend feeling good abaoit the stays of things. I’m also now counting down the days until some serious milestones. Well, at least three known dates in the future.

It’s 7 days until Valentine’s Day (which has historically been a really rotten day for me).

There are 43 days until my house closes. The first purchase agreement went through and that deal is no longer contingent on their house selling. 🏡 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

There are 360 days until I get married!! That is IF we stick with February 2nd. Any guesses why we picked that date? 💍 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

My focus at the moment is really only on the first one. Jim is taking me out somewhere and it’s not a surprise that the destination is a surprise. That seems to be his MO. That’s fine by me. I’ve picked up a few things for him, but not really keen on spending a lot on “things”. I’ve spent hours and hours in the past on my V-day soapbox and how we should cherish our loved ones every day and not just that day. And, of course, how cards and flowers and stuffed animals and other crap like that is a waste. Let’s trash our planet in the name of true love. No thanks!!

In other news, the school commute today was totally brutal and I seriously need a break from that drive. Today was made worse by snow and stop and go traffic that would make even the most patient person want to tear their hair out.

Anyway, I’ve done OK with my new routine despite the challenges and I’ve had to make some “sacrifices” because of priority and responsibility. So far I’ve clocked 20 hours of work and that’s pretty good going into Friday.

Tomorrow will be interesting. More on that .. tomorrow. Gotta roll for now.

Peace and Love,
