I’ve been up since 4 and it’s not even 7pm but I’m wiped out. I had a really nice lunch with Rebecca and we covered a number of topics, all of which I know we will go deeper on over the next few days. That was followed by a wonderful afternoon catching up with Jill and spending quality time with her family.
We played with the kids, they cooked dinner, and then we went for a nice walk around the neighborhood. Right now they are going through their normal bedtime routine and I’ve elected to hang out in the living room alone. I don’t have much more in me and might fall asleep if I close my eyes.
It’s hours later now and I’m trying to stay up long enough to finish my 100 push-ups. I’m doing 100 push ups every day for 15 days as part of a challenge and boy, has it been a challenge thus far. The first day was easy but then I corrected my form and can do less the right way. I’m five days in and my upper body is sore and I hit that failure point with my muscles so quick now. It’s also tougher to get this done when I’m traveling and with other people than when I am in the comfort of my own home and can just drop and crank some out whenever I feel like it.
I’ve been awake for about 18 hours now and so ready to sleep. I’ve got more to say about today but I’m already pushing myself to my limits as it is (in more than one way) so it will have to wait. Needless to say I’ve had a lot of great conversations and as expected am really enjoying my time thus far. Tomorrow promises to be another glorious day.
OK, five more and I’m done!
