2018-04-01 Austin Day 4: Going Home

Three full days and it’s time to go home. It’s seriously early and I’m already settled at my gate and ready for departure in about 30 minutes.

It feels like a quick trip, which truly it is, but I’m ready to be home. This morning was atypical because of my early flight.Steph’s husbsnd got up early to take me to the airport and the rest of the house, including party guests who stayed overnight were still sleeping. This meant I basically had to say my goodbyes last night. I didn’t even really get to say goodbye to the kids. It’s Easter today so they will hardly notice.

It doesn’t feel like a holiday. I won’t get to see my kids and we won’t do our egg hunting until tomorrow. At this point in their lives, it’s less about the day and more about the game. Still, I hope they have fun at their grandmas today.

I’m being picked up at the airport by JS and I’m looking forward to that. In getting up early I haven’t showered or done anything to look presentable but I’m ok with that. This is how I look.. and that’s just the way it is. Perhaps it’s just too early for me to care.

I’m actually looking forward to just having some time in my own house alone with my kitten. I love my people, but I really need to decompress and just relax. I’ve already got quite a week ahead and I need to organize my thoughts and catch up on sleep.

Traveling sometimes causes my sleep to suffer. This past week my average sleep per night was 6 hours and 40 minutes per night.

My steps for the week were not as bad as I thought they would be. Just shy of 15K per day. No Jazzercise classes.

My other stats are pretty much the same.. school, work, and relationship, now still happily all great! Yesterday was the 4 week anniversary of the day JS and I met. Yay!!

Ok.. boarding the plane now for my first flight home. Great timing as I’m all out of words for now.

Hoppy Easter,
